Project presentation at the Finnish National Museum

On January 31st I presented the Hanko 1941 project at the annual field work presentations. The two day event was held in the auditorium of the National Museum with some 90 people attending both days.

Very important questions regarding scientific research and preservation of WW2 sites in Finland popped up. We will have a meeting at the Finnish Heritage Agency shortly to catchup on the latest developements on the status of WW2 sites and repatriation of war dead.

After the presentation I had a short discussion with the intendant of the Finnish Aviation Museum rearding the Junkers JU 88 wrecksite in Hanko. We will try to schedule a meeting as soon aspossible.
